English High Tea Package
In England, it is tradition to have a tea in the afternoon. Especially for its travellers, the Miljoenenlijn combines this historical custom with a steam train ride on the Miljoenenlijn. While enjoying the beautiful views, travellers are served an original High Tea in the dining car. Of course, entirely according to typical English custom with sandwiches, scones and three deliciously smelling types of tea!
The English High Tea consists of:
- Scones with lemon curd and strawberry jam
- Multigrain roll with chicken breast and curry salad
- Brioche bread roll with dried ham and melon
- Three layer sandwich with fresh cream cheese and smoked salmon
- Three-layer tomato sandwich with brie and cucumber
- Chocolate cake
- Almond pastry
- Pralines
- 3 kinds of tea

Location and time
The train leaves at 13:30 from Simpelveld Station. We advise you to be present half an hour before departure at the latest, so that our stewards can escort you to your table in time.
Pricing and tickets
55 euro p.p.
Tickets can be reserved via the ticket shop at the bottom of this page. The ticket includes a day ticket for all trains on the Miljoenenlijn, so feel free to make an extra train journey to Kerkrade or Vetschau before or after the package.
Please note: Unfortunately, the Pullman dining car is not suitable for wheelchair users and prams. Dogs are not allowed during the High Tea package.
