The ZLSM foundation (Zuid-Limburgse Stoomtrein Maatschappij) is the operator of the Miljoenenlijn and is committed to preserving Limburg’s cultural railway heritage for current and future generations.

This goal can only be realised through the enthusiastic commitment of the many volunteers, subsidies, sponsoring and donations by the business community and contributors. The foundation is an “Public Benefit Organisation” (Dutch: Algemeen Nut Beogende Instelling, ANBI).

About 100 years ago, border station Simpelveld was the economic centre on the railway line from Aachen to Maastricht.
