English High Tea Package
In England, it is a tradition to have an afternoon “tea.” The Miljoenenlijn combines this historical practice, with a Limburg twist, by offering a steam train ride over the Miljoenenlijn along with a High Tea experience. While enjoying beautiful landscapes, passengers will be served a High Tea in the dining carriage “4268-42.” This includes sandwiches, scones, and three delightful varieties of tea, all in accordance with tradition.
The English High Tea consists of:
- Traditional scone with lemon curd and clotted cream
- Finger sandwich with LIVAR ham
- Finger sandwich with brie and cucumber
- Wrap with smoked chicken
- Mini quiche (served warm)
- Lemon meringue cupcake
- Butter cake and chocolates
- Of course, three types of tea will be served throughout the journey in a specific sequence.

Location and time
The train leaves at 13:45 from Simpelveld Station. We advise you to be present half an hour before departure at the latest, so that our stewards can escort you to your table in time.
Pricing and tickets
€ 68 per person.
Tickets can be reserved via the ticket shop at the bottom of this page. The ticket includes a day pass for all trains of the Miljoenenlijn, so feel free to take an additional train journey (with the railbus) to places like Kerkrade or Vetschau before or after the arrangement.
Please note: Unfortunately, the dining carriage is not suitable for wheelchair users and strollers. Dogs are not allowed during the High Tea Arrangement.
The culinary arrangements are not suitable for children under 12 years old.
Due to limited capabilities in the small kitchen of the carriage, we regret that we cannot accommodate menus for guests with gluten allergies or lactose intolerance.
