The complete day out at the Miljoenenlijn!
The package consists of: Steam train ride to Schin op Geul, train ride to Kerkrade or Vetschau, an extensive lunch and an educational walk around the railway yard in Simpelveld.
With the Miljoenenlijn Arrangement you will discover everything about the trains and the history of our railway!
Program 2026
You start at 10:30 a.m. at Simpelveld Station. At 10:45 a.m., you board the steam train for a journey to Schin op Geul and back to Simpelveld, where you will arrive again at 12:10 p.m..
Optional: If conditions allow (availability of rolling stock, crowd levels, etc.), you can travel at 12:20 p.m. with our railbus along the former international railway line via Bocholtz to Vetschau (Germany) and back. You will arrive back at Simpelveld Station at 1:05 p.m.
In Simpelveld, from 1:10 p.m., you will enjoy a delicious and extensive lunch at Brasserie Perron 4.
Afterwards, the special historical journey starts at the Stationmaster’s office on platform 1 (see the hanging sign “Stationschef”). This self-guided walking tour around Simpelveld Station offers a unique behind-the-scenes look at our special railway line and tells you more about the rich history of the station yard and the railway line. You can also visit the workshop and admire all our railway rolling stock. The walking route (on paper) can be collected at the ticket counter.

This arrangement can only be booked online until one day before the respective travel day. This arrangement starts at Simpelveld Station, please present your e-ticket at the ticket office in the station before the start of the arrangement.
