The package consists of: Steam train ride to Schin op Geul, train ride to Kerkrade or Vetschau, an extensive lunch and an educational walk around the railway yard in Simpelveld.

Schedule 2024
You start at 10:30 a.m. at Simpelveld Station. At 10:45 a.m., you board the steam train for a ride to Schin op Geul and back to Simpelveld, where you arrive again at 12:05 p.m. At 12:15 p.m., you continue with the same steam train to Kerkrade and back, or you transfer in Simpelveld to the Railbus for a round trip to Vetschau (in Germany). Both trains return by 1:00 p.m.
Upon arrival in Simpelveld, you will enjoy a delicious extensive lunch at Brasserie Perron 4 starting at 1:00 p.m.
Following lunch, the special historical journey begins at the office of the Station Master on platform 1 (see sign ‘Station Master’). This self-paced walking tour around Simpelveld Station offers a unique behind-the-scenes look at our special railway line and tells you more about the rich history of the premises and the railway line. You can also take a look at the workshop and admire all of our railway equipment here.

This arrangement can only be booked online until one day before the respective travel day. This arrangement starts at Simpelveld Station, please present your e-ticket at the ticket office in the station before the start of the arrangement.
